The last day of the month of Ashadh is a full moon day which is called Guru Purnima. Maharishi Ved Vyas, the author of Mahabharata, was born on this day. According to the English calendar, this time Guru Vyas Puja will be on Sunday, 21 July 2024. According to Hindu scriptures, the festival of Guru Purnima is celebrated with great reverence and pomp throughout India.

Ashadh Shukla Purnima starts – 20 July 2024, Saturday at 05:59 pm.
End of Purnima Tithi – 21 July 2024, Sunday at 03:46 AM.
According to the Udayatithi, Guru Purnima will be celebrated on Sunday.

Brahma Muhurta – from 04:14 to 04:55 in the morning.
Morning and evening – from 04:35 to 05:37 in the morning.
Abhijit Muhurat- from 12:00 pm to 12:55 pm.
Vijay Muhurat – from 02:44 pm to 03:39 pm.
Amrit Kaal- from 06:15 pm to 07:45 pm.
Twilight time – from 07:17 to 07:38 in the evening.
Evening Evening- 07:18 to 08:20 pm.
Nishith Kaal – from 12:07 to 12:48 at night.
Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga – From 05:37 am on July 21 to 12:14 pm on July 22.
Guru Purnima (Guru Purnima) Special Mantra
1. OM GUM GURUBHYO NAMAH.
2. OM GURUBHYO NAMAH.
3. Ome to the Supreme Being, Narayana, the Gurus.
4. Om Vedahi Guru Devaaya Vidmahe Parama Guruve Dhimahe Tannau: Guru: Prachodayat.
5. Guru is Brahma, Guru is Vishnu, Guru is God and Guru is Maheshwara.
The spiritual master is directly the Supreme Brahman. I offer my obeisances to that Sri Guru.
How to perform the puja: –
First of all, put a heap of rice on a white cloth and place the Kalash-coconut on it.
Facing north, keep a picture of Lord Shiva in front of you.
Consider Shiva as your Guru and recite the following mantra and invoke Sri Gurudev:
'Om Vedadi Gurudevaya विद्महे, Parama Guruve धीमहि, Tannau: Guru: Prachodayat.
O Gurudev, I invoke you.
Then perform pooja as much as you can, offer offerings and Aarti and recite 11, 21, 51 or 108 rows of 'Om Gum Gurubhyo Namah: Mantra'
If you wish to perform any particular sadhna, you can do it by taking its permission from the guru mentally.
