Lucknow. BJP MLA from Campierganj seat of Gorakhpur, Fateh Bahadur Singh has raised big questions on law and order in UP, saying that his life is in danger. The MLA alleges that this matter is not being taken seriously and the police itself is in cahoots with the conspirators.
According to MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, he had gone to visit his constituency a few days ago. During this time, his close ones informed him that a conspiracy was being hatched to kill him. After this, he left his constituency with a convoy. He said, “That night I did not take this matter seriously, but the next day the person who was given the contract to kill me came to me himself. He told me that some people have made a deal for your life for Rs 5 crore. I immediately informed the SSP and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath about this.
The MLA said, “Even after 10-11 days, no action has been taken. CM Yogi has already made arrangements for our security, but a few days ago, former US President Donald Trump was also attacked. In such a situation, someone can kill me with a gun worth Rs 250 and run away.”
The MLA also made a serious allegation against the police of being in cahoots with the conspirators. He said, “The inspector and officers are having tea, breakfast and lunch with the identified people involved in this conspiracy. No action is being taken against them.” The MLA has demanded from the Yogi government to get this case investigated by the CBI.
He said that the government should protect my life and take action against those criminals. If the state government wants, it can get this case investigated by a sitting judge of the High Court or hand it over to the CBI. Fateh Bahadur Singh has also talked about revealing the name of the conspirator in case this case is not taken seriously. He said, “If proper action is not taken in this case, then I will go among the public and reveal the name of the conspirators, but I want to give enough time to the police-administration to take action.”
Meanwhile, statements of SSP Gorakhpur Gaurav Grover and District Magistrate Krishna Karunesh have also come out in connection with Fateh Bahadur Singh's allegations. In his reply, the SSP said that MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh has been given Y category security. He said that the person from whom the MLA has said that his life is in danger is his mother who is a district panchayat member of BJP. The SSP said that MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh has been given Y plus category security. Also, the police is investigating his application. He told that the person named Rajiv Ranjan Chaudhary, whose name is mentioned in the MLA's complaint letter, his mother is a district panchayat member from BJP.
