Google's hardware event is scheduled to take place on August 13. Nearly a month ahead of the Made by Google event, the tech giant has posted a new teaser video for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, putting an end to speculations about the design and name of its next foldable Android phone. The teaser hints at an off-white colour option for the foldable phone, along with a dual-level rear camera design. It has also been confirmed that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launched in the Indian market. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will get upgrades over the Pixel Fold.
Pixel 9 Pro design teased
As expected and leaked reports were coming, the design of this phone looks exactly the same. Google Pixel 9 Pro gets a small camera deco. This phone will come with a triple rear camera setup. It can have a 50MP main camera. If reports are to be believed, both Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will have the same camera setup. However, these smartphones will come with different screen and battery sizes.
Design of Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold
Soon after revealing the Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google has shown the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in a teaser video confirming the design and name. The smartphone is shown with the tagline “Foldable phone built for the Gemini era” and an AI chatbot can be seen in the video. The foldable looks like it has a primary camera rectangular bump and the lens is positioned vertically in a dual-level design. The teaser video has revealed the external display of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and its hinge mechanism. The cover display has a hole punch cutout. It is displayed in an off-white finish that looks like Google's signature porcelain shade. More accurate details will be revealed upon launch.
Will be launched in India on August 14
Google India has confirmed that Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launched in India on August 14, a day after the 'Made by Google' launch event. This will be Google's first foldable device in the country. Pixel 9 Pro Fold is believed to be a direct competitor to Galaxy Z Fold 6, OnePlus Open, which are already available in India.
