Meerut. A case of kidnapping and gang rape of a teenager from Ghaziabad has come to light. The teenager was kidnapped from Mohiuddinpur in Meerut. Meerut police has started investigating the case on the complaint of the teenager and her family.
A girl from a village in Ghaziabad's Modinagar police station area studies in college. On June 24, the girl left her home to go to college but she was not found after that. The family searched for her a lot and a missing person's report was also filed. The accused left the girl near Bhojpur police station on July 6. The police called the family members and handed over the girl to them after showing that she had been recovered.
The girl told her family that on June 24, two youths kidnapped her from Mohiuddinpur in Meerut's Partapur police station area. After kidnapping her from Meerut, she was taken to Jammu and kept hostage in a hotel for six days and gang-raped. After this, the accused brought her to Meerut via Saharanpur.
She was also held hostage for six days in a hotel on the highway in Meerut and was gang-raped by four youths. When the victim's family first complained to Modinagar police, they said that the incident took place in Meerut. When Partapur police also did not register a case, the family complained to Meerut SSP.
The SSP ordered investigation and action in the case. According to Meerut SP City Ayush Vikram Singh, the entire matter is being investigated. The CCTV footage of the hotels whose information has been given is being scanned.
