Muzaffarnagar. Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Singh said that the priority is to complete the Kanwad Yatra in a peaceful and harmonious environment. Devotees will not be allowed to face any kind of difficulty within the district limits.
He said that the administrative officer/magistrate deployed on Kanwad duty will visit their allotted area along with the police officer concerned and ensure that the Kanwadis do not face any kind of problem on their way. He said that cleanliness and hygiene should also be inspected.
He directed that it should also be ensured that the camps set up by the camp operators to help the Kanwadis fulfil all the standards and conditions. If there are any deficiencies, then they should be identified and got them rectified. He said that by continuously touring, the Kanwadis passing through the district should not be allowed to face any inconvenience and by taking decisions on their own discretion, the problem should be resolved quickly. He told that if there is difficulty in solving the problem at his level, then the higher officials should be informed.
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Singh and Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Narendra Bahadur Singh were holding a meeting with the police and administrative officers deployed on the Kanwad route in the District Panchayat Auditorium today to ensure that the Kanwad Yatra is conducted in a peaceful and systematic manner. The Senior Superintendent of Police directed that the magistrates deployed on duty will keep a constant vigil by roaming in their respective areas during the day and night. He said that one should be sensitive towards work and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. He also directed that even small things should be taken care of to ensure that the Kanwad Yatra is conducted in a systematic manner. He said that this time the magistrates will also carry Gangajal in their vehicles.
Additional District Magistrate Narendra Bahadur Singh said that all the magistrates should know the status of ambulances in their area, where 102/108 is located and also the location of 112 dial. He said that for cleanliness in urban areas, ensure to keep the number of the Executive Officer of Nagar Palika Parishad and AMA of Zila Panchayat. In case of drinking water problem, the Executive Engineer should ensure to contact Jal Nigam. For medical treatment facility, the number of Chief Medical Officer should also be kept with you. Keep your information system strong and share even the smallest information with the knowledge of your senior officials. If the electric wires are loose somewhere, bring it to the knowledge of Assistant Director Electrical Safety/Executive Engineer Electricity to get them tightened. He said that a WhatsApp group will also be created for Kanwad Yatra so that any incident can be reported immediately.
Earlier, Additional District Magistrate Administration and Superintendent of Police Traffic reviewed the work being done on the Kanwad route with the officials of the concerned departments involved in the Kanwad Yatra and gave strict instructions that the concerned departments will ensure completion of all the work in 02 days. He said in strong words that if the Kanwadis face any kind of problem, the responsibility of the officer of the concerned department will be determined and strict action will be taken. A report will be sent to the government against the concerned officer.
He instructed that no meat or egg shops should be opened on the Kanwad route. All the dhabas should be checked to ensure that the prescribed rate list is displayed. It should also be ensured that all food items are made as per the standards and polythene and plastic should not be used. Medical camps will be set up in sufficient numbers, doctors will be present in all the camps and all life saving medicines will be made available in sufficient quantities.
He said that various areas will be monitored through CCTV cameras and drones. It will also be ensured that all camps will not be set up without the written permission of the concerned Sub-District Magistrate/City Magistrate. Arrangements for checking of food at hotels/dhabas will be made regularly. He said that hotels and dhabas should be checked daily and rate lists should be pasted on them. He said that adequate caution should be taken for this also so that no accident occurs. He also directed the District Supply Officer to maintain regular supply of essential commodities on the occasion of Kanwad Yatra.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police City Satyanarayan Prajapat, SP Crime, City Magistrate along with the concerned in-charge officers, officers of the departments related to Kanwad Yatra, Police Circle Officer, and police and administrative officers deployed on duty were present.
