Jaunpur. The court of Additional Sessions Judge II Mohammad Shariq Siddiqui of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh on Friday sentenced four accused to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,500 after being found guilty of culpable homicide by hitting with bricks, stones, sticks and rods over a house dispute in the Buksa police station area 12 years ago.
According to the prosecution, the plaintiff Ram Yagya Mishra, resident of village Lambhua, police station Sultanpur, registered a case at the Buksa police station that on August 7, 2012 at 10:00 in the day at his in-laws' house in village Purahemu, police station Buksa, his mother-in-law Aarti and brother-in-law Dinesh's Pattidars Manoj Kumar, Shailendra Kumar, Sunil Kumar sons of Rambaran and Sharad Chandra son of Kedar were plastering the house and making the measuring tape.
The house had not been divided, so mother-in-law Aarti and brother-in-law Dinesh objected, on which the angry accused attacked both of them with bricks, stones, sticks and axes and seriously injured them. The incident was witnessed by the plaintiff Ram Yagya, Avnish and Vikas. When both the injured were taken to Sadar Hospital, the doctor declared Aarti Devi dead on the same day and admitted Dinesh. The police investigated and presented the charge sheet in the court.
After examining the statements of the witnesses examined by Assistant District Government Advocate Lal Bahadur Pal and the evidence available on the file, the court sentenced the three real brothers Manoj, Shailendra and Sunil and another Sharad Chand, accused of culpable homicide, to 10 years' imprisonment each and a fine of Rs. 10,500.
