New Delhi. The disruption in aviation services due to a global glitch in Microsoft servers on Friday has now been fixed. A press release issued by the Civil Aviation Ministry said, “The aviation system started functioning smoothly at all airports in the country from 3 am today. Now flight operations are running smoothly.
There was a backlog yesterday due to disruptions. And today it has slowly eased. We hope all the problems are over now. “We are constantly monitoring flight operations at airports along with refunds and ticket adjustments being given by airlines.
We are grateful for your patience.” It is worth mentioning that on Friday, passengers were badly affected due to the delay in flights due to a global glitch in Microsoft's server. Apart from the delay in takeoff of flights, people also faced problems in check-in and booking. On Friday, many airlines were affected by the technical glitch in Microsoft security system across the world. Due to this, planes of many countries of the world including India remained stranded at the airport.
The online check-in service was shut down at Mumbai's Andheri International Airport due to a glitch in Microsoft's cloud service. Not only this, the effect of the chaos caused by this glitch was also visible at the railway station. Crowds of people gathered at the New Delhi railway station. Many flights had to be cancelled at Hyderabad airport.
