To avoid long queues at toll booths, the government introduced FASTag in the country. But now according to the information received, if your vehicle does not have FASTag, then you may have to pay double the toll tax.

The National Highways Authority of India has recently implemented a new rule. Accordingly, it is mandatory for all vehicles to have a valid FASTag on the front windscreen. If your car's windscreen does not have FASTag, then you will have to pay double the toll tax. This new rule has been made to avoid long queues at toll booths. Also, these rules are for those who have not yet installed FASTag.
A record will be kept
Along with this, all toll booths have been instructed to keep a record of the vehicles which do not have FASTag through CCTV. The record of these vehicles will be kept along with their registration number. Through this, many FASTags which are not valid FASTags can be blacklisted.
FASTag is mandatory for all from 2021
