KUWAIT CITY: Norca Roots CEO informed that the insurance amount has been made available to the families of NORCA members who died in the fire disaster at the Mangaf labor camp, officials of Expatriate Welfare Kuwait said.

Pravasi Welfare Kuwait had found the information of five people who had taken NORCA ID card from them after checking the details of the Malayalees who died in the disaster. Expatriate Welfare Kuwait officials contacted the said families and helped them prepare the documents to receive the insurance amount.

Also requested to forward the details of the members to Norca CEO and take immediate action to get the insurance amount. Rafiq Babu Ponmundam, Convener of Expatriate Welfare Kuwait Norka Department, informed that they have received official information from Norca that the families of four members have been provided with an insurance amount of four lakh rupees.

NORCA also informed that the insurance cannot be provided as a member's NORCA ID card has expired. Members who have taken Norka ID card will get Rs 4 lakh insurance in case of accidental death. But it is a fact that most of the expatriates have not taken membership until now without understanding the seriousness of this, officials of Expatriate Welfare Kuwait said.
