Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi held a high-level joint security review meeting here on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Director Generals of Jammu and Kashmir Police, heads of intelligence agencies and other senior security officials.
Around 50 terrorists are active in Jammu region
Meanwhile, the Lt. Governor said, we must launch a careful and planned anti-terror operation with better coordination among all agencies to eliminate terrorists and their supporters. Sinha also directed that security arrangements be strengthened to prevent cross-border infiltration. Sources in intelligence agencies recently said that around 50 terrorists are active in the Jammu region. Government of India has decided to send 500 para commandos to Jammu to eliminate them.

Security forces on Thursday killed two terrorists who were trying to infiltrate near the LoC in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district. Earlier on July 14, three heavily armed militants were killed along the LoC in Kupwara.
