New Delhi. Cases of negligence of doctors during surgery are often reported. During an operation in a hospital in Bangalore, the doctors left a needle in the spine of a woman. The Karnataka Consumer Forum has ordered the doctors to pay a compensation of Rs 5 lakh. According to the information, in 2004, the woman had undergone spine surgery in Deepak Hospital. During this, the doctors mistakenly left the needle inside.
According to the report, 46-year-old Padmavati had severe pain in her stomach and back. She endured this pain for 6 years and then underwent surgery in another hospital. Apart from this, now the hospital's negligence insurance company India Assurance Company Limited will have to pay a compensation of Rs 5 lakh. A similar case came to light in Bhopal Care Hospital. Here, during the surgery of a woman, scissors were left inside her stomach. This was discovered four months later. When an X-ray was done, it was discovered that there were scissors in her stomach. After this, the scissors were removed by performing another operation.
Actually, the woman had undergone a tumor operation in the hospital. Due to the scissors in the stomach, infection started spreading in the woman's body.
