Braun Strowman made his return on Night 2 of the WWE Draft and immediately wreaked havoc on The Judgment Day members. However, he suffered another concerning injury after his match against Damian Priest. Now, The Monster Among Men has opened up in an interview about what exactly happened.
While speaking on WWE: The Week, Braun Strowman stated that he had a slight problem with his knee. He wrestled Damian Priest on the latest episode of Raw and, unfortunately, suffered a clean loss to El Campeon. The 40-year-old star revealed that he had made a doctor’s appointment to have his knee checked out.
Strowman recalled the exact moment during his match against the Archer of Infamy when he felt a slight tweak in his knee. There was a spot when the former Wyatt Family member tried to do his trademark move and bulldoze Priest. However, the champ moved out of the way, causing Strowman to crash into the barricade. He stated that he noticed the bruise on his knee at the end of the match.
Knee’s a little banged up. I got a doctor’s appointment this week to get it checked out. It’s been bugging me a little bit. There’s been some little tweak going on in there. When I caught it up on the top of that barricade, I felt something move in my kneecap so I had a bruise on my knee at the end of the match.Braun Strowman via WWE: The Week
Since his returnStrowman has been embroiled in a rivalry with The Judgment Day. Meanwhile, after beating Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins at Clash at the Castle, Priest is looking forward to his toughest challenge yet. For the first time, he will defend his World Heavyweight title against King of the Ring winner Gunther at SummerSlam.
Braun Strowman expressed his desire to wrestle against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania
It has been a long time since The Monster Among Men was involved in the world title picture. In 2020, he was in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre in his quest for the world title. Recently, Strowman expressed his desire to fight The Scottish Warrior at WrestleMania.
In the same interview, the 40-year-old star felt that he and McIntyre should have a rivalry that ends on a big stage like WrestleMania. He referred to them as larger-than-life Titans and stated that they deserved a chance to be in the spotlight.
Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship. It hasn't happened, but I think he and I need a good feud that has a payoff at WrestleMania. We're both two larger-than-life titans walking on this earth. I think it's time they gave the big boys the spotlight. Let us go out there and let us do what we do.Braun Strowman via WWE: The Week
While Strowman’s road to winning the title looks difficult from here, The Scottish Warrior has been fighting his demons. He came very close to winning the world title in his home country at Clash at the Castle, but his dreams were shattered by CM Punk. Their rivalry will most likely reach its conclusion at SummerSlam on August 3.
