In view of the increasing cases of underage driving, now Noida Traffic Police has issued a warning to parents. In an effort to curb the increasing incidents of driving by minors, Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate has issued a strict warning to parents and guardians. According to an official statement issued on Tuesday evening, Noida Police emphasized the danger posed by minors driving motor vehicles. The police directive has come amid concerns over safety and traffic law compliance. Such a decision has been taken especially after several horrific incidents involving minors across the region.
Will be barred from obtaining a driving license until the age of 25
The statement said that driving a two-wheeler or four-wheeler by underage children is improper and illegal under any circumstances. Parents or guardians who allow minors to drive without a valid license will face severe punishment. This includes a fine of up to ₹ 25000, possible legal action under Section 125 of the Indian Justice Code and cancellation of vehicle registration for a period of 12 months. Apart from this, the driver caught driving illegally will be barred from obtaining a driving license till the age of 25 years.
