– No eligible beneficiary should be deprived of the public welfare schemes of the government: DM
Varanasi. District Magistrate S. Rajlingam listened to the problems of the people by organizing a public meeting at the primary school in the MP's Adarsh village Kurhua of Kashi Vidyapeeth block. A person named Krishna Pandey complained about the lekhpal's evasion in doing the inheritance. On this, the District Magistrate reprimanded the lekhpal Alok Pandey and directed him not to register the name within 24 hours.
District Magistrate S. Rajlingam said that our aim is to benefit the left out beneficiaries by cross checking them. Recently, all the concerned officials were directed to saturate the eligible beneficiaries with public welfare schemes by organizing camps in the villages. The government also intends that no eligible beneficiary should be deprived of public welfare schemes. The District Magistrate heard the complaints of the people present in the Chaupal one by one and directed the officials of the concerned department to resolve them. He directed the officials of the concerned department to benefit the left out and eligible beneficiaries.
The Project Director informed that a few days ago a survey of the left out eligible beneficiaries was conducted by organizing a camp, in which 20 eligible and deprived beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are to be benefited from the CSR fund. Apart from this, benefits are to be given to 13 eligible and deprived beneficiaries from individual toilets, 11 in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 10 in Ayushman card, 25 in old age pension, 5 in disabled pension, 2 in destitute women grant, 6 in Bal Seva sponsorship, 10 in Kanya Sumangala Yojana, 4 in ration card and other public welfare schemes. The DM directed the Health Department for the certificates of some left out disabled people and the Labor Department for labor cards.
Apart from this, complaints regarding roads, electricity, water, encroachment on public land, Chakrod etc. came before the District Magistrate, which were directed to be resolved by the officers of the concerned department. Chief Development Officer Himanshu Nagpal said that approval has been given for construction of footpaths on both sides of the main road, construction of internal lanes, Amrut Sarovar, solar lights, signage, renovation of playground and other development works in this village at a cost of Rs. 04.31 crore from ONGC's CSR fund, which will be started soon. Thereafter, the District Magistrate and the Chief Development Officer planted one mango sapling each in the Namo Amrut Van established in the village.
After this, he inspected the Amrit Sarovar built near Namo Amrit Van and directed the CDO to beautify the Amrit Sarovar. He directed to remove the public encroachment on Namo Amrit Van. Apart from this, he went to the house of the beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and talked about protecting the drumstick plant planted there and informed the beneficiary about the utility of drumstick. BDO Rajesh Yadav, BEO Rampujan Patel, Jal Nigam's XEN Rajiv Kumar, DPO Sudhakar Sharan Pandey, Secretary, DPRO, Lekhpal, besides officials of the concerned departments, Gram Pradhan etc. were present in the Chaupal.
