According to the news, a few days ago the state government had decided to increase the dearness allowance of government employees by 4 percent. Now the municipality has also decided to give dearness allowance to 4 thousand employees. Employees will get the benefit of dearness allowance from January 1, 2024.

Let us tell you that this decision of the corporation will increase the burden of Rs 16 crore annually on the municipality. At the same time, dearness allowance will be given to these workers in 3 installments from January till now. That means, from this month onwards, the benefit of arrears will also be available along with the salary.

Actually, earlier the municipal corporation employees were given monthly dearness allowance at the rate of 46 percent. But now it has been increased to 50 percent. Employees will be given dearness allowance at the rate of 50% along with salary from July 2024.
