Dehradun. The Chief Minister (CM Dhami) released the book “Hamari Virasat Evam Vibhutiyan” at the Secretariat on Thursday. Through this book, students of primary classes in government schools will now be familiar with the state movement as well as the saga of sacrifice of immortal martyrs.
After the announcement of the Chief Minister (CM Dhami), the book Hamari Virasat and Vibhutiyaan has been published by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, which will be included in the curriculum as a supporting booklet of social science subject from class six to eight.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this book will be helpful in introducing the young generation of the state to its rich cultural, folk heritage, folk songs, folk dances along with various dimensions of culture, as well as to get acquainted with the biographies of the great personalities of the state.
Chief Minister gave instructions, every district and important tourist place of the state should be connected with air service
He (CM Dhami) said that the social and economic development of any country or state depends on the quality of education given to the children there. Teachers also have a big responsibility in this. They have an invaluable contribution in taking children forward in life. Teachers along with the department will also have to fulfill the responsibility of how to provide better quality education to the children. The Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly making efforts to preserve and promote its folk culture and cultural heritage.
This book will also become the basis for various competitive exams:
Director General of Education Banshidhar Tiwari said that this book has been published in the interest of students as children's literature. Through this, students will get information about the natural places, costumes, food and culture of the state. He said that in the primary classes, students will read about many great personalities including Sridev Suman, Teelu Rauteli. This book will also become the basis for various competitive examinations. Through this book, children will also get acquainted with the religious, historical, social and cultural heritage of the state.
Now books will be prepared for class 9 and 10 as well:
Director General of Education informed that after SCERT published the book “Hamari Virasat evam Vibhutiyaan” for students of class 6 to 8, similarly a book will be prepared for students of class 9 and 10.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Aggarwal, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Ganesh Joshi, Subodh Uniyal, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Director Academic Research and Training Uttarakhand Bandana Garbyal and other officers were present.
