Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a plan to reopen the closed cinema halls. Yogi Adityanath has instructed to prepare a grant scheme for construction of multiplexes and single cinema halls in districts without multiplexes. On Thursday, the CM had a meeting with the officials of the State Tax Department in which he said that cinema has a big role in the main means of entertainment for the general public.
Due to the changing times and the advent of new technology, many cinema halls have either closed down or their financial condition is not good. To reopen such cinema halls, the state government should come up with an incentive scheme. This will provide people with many means of entertainment. Apart from this, the condition of minimum number of seats fixed for cinema halls should be relaxed by adopting a practical approach.
Closed cinema halls will reopen
The Chief Minister said that in today's era, the demand for multiplex cinema halls has increased rapidly. If we talk about the recent times, there are many states where there are no multiplexes, while there are 10 districts where there are no single screen or multiplex cinema halls. Therefore, CM Yogi has asked the officials of the State Tax Department to make a plan about this.
CM Yogi Adityanath has asked the state tax department to make a new plan soon by communicating with the investors and other stakeholders of the concerned sector. In such a situation, entertainment is going to double in many states of UP because there are 39 such states of UP where there are no cinema halls.
