According to reports, the company can provide a 1.2 liter three cylinder engine in this car like other cars. Apart from this, the option of turbo engine can also be available in it. Due to which the manual variant of the SUV will get 110 PS of power along with 190 Newton meter torque. At the same time, the variant with six speed automatic transmission can get 110 PS of power and 205 Newton meter torque.

Where will the position be
Citroen's Basalt SUV will be the fourth product to be offered by the company in the Indian market. It can be positioned between the C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross. Currently, the Indian market offers C3 and C3 Aircross with ICE along with C5 Aircross. Apart from this, the company also offers eC3 in the electric segment.

Citroen's Basalt will be launched in the Indian market in the coupe SUV segment. Currently, no company offers a vehicle in this segment. But Tata will launch Curvv on August 7. In such a situation, Citroen Basalt will compete directly with Tata Curvv.
