Ghaziabad. A virtual meeting of the Chief Minister was organized regarding plantation at the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation headquarters. In which a detailed discussion was held on the subject of plantation campaign. Mayor Sunita Dayal, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik were mainly present. During this, departmental officers and councilors were present. The Chief Minister, while directly communicating with the Mayor, inquired about the arrangements for the plants being planted within the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation limits. Along with this, every household was also asked to be made aware about plantation.
More than 50 thousand saplings have been planted by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has received a target of more than 1.3 lakh from the government. In which preparations have been made to plant about 1.5 lakh saplings by the garden department. Public support is being received in the plantation campaign. Councilors are going among the public in their respective areas and planting saplings. Plantation work is going on in the name of mother. Plantation work has also been done at many places using the Miyavki method. Last year 1,30,000 saplings were planted. Which are taking the form of trees. Thus, the report of the plantation work was presented before the Chief Minister by the Mayor.
After the virtual meeting, the Municipal Commissioner motivated all the gardeners and head gardeners along with the garden team, in-charge garden Dr. Anuj to make the campaign meaningful. Instructions were given to the garden department to increase the plantation campaign along with the councilors and RWA officials and also to plant as many trees as possible on the vacant land of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. The people present were motivated for the massive campaign on 20th July.
In the end, Mayor Sunita Dayal congratulated everyone for the tree plantation being done.
Dividers, central verges, parks, green belts, around main roads, empty grounds where there is a need, where saplings can be planted as well as flourish. Such places should be identified and plantation should be increased by coordinating with the councilors. On this occasion, Additional Municipal Commissioner Arun Kumar Yadav, Additional Municipal Commissioner Avnindra Kumar, all departmental officers, councilors Neeraj Goyal, Amit Tyagi, Poonam Singh, Sheetal Deol and others were present.
