Apple is preparing for their flagship iPhone 16 series as well as the iPhone SE 4 phone. It will have upgraded specifications along with a modified design.
Apple's budget-friendly iPhone SE lineup has always been a source of curiosity among fans. This series of handsets offers powerful hardware with a familiar, slightly outdated design. Leaks regarding the upcoming iPhone SE 4 have been confusing so far, with conflicting reports surfacing about its design and camera setup. And now a well-known tipster has revealed some specifications of the iPhone SE 4 handset. Let's take a look at them.
The iPhone SE 4 may have a single rear camera
Earlier this week, a source revealed that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a design similar to the upcoming iPhone 16 series, with a dual rear camera setup. This contradicts earlier reports and leaked CAD renders, which suggested there would be a single rear camera.
Now tipster Ice Universe claims that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 48-megapixel rear camera. The screen will measure 6.06 inches, which is significantly larger than the 4.7-inch display of the previous generation iPhone SE 3. But the screen could have a 60 hertz refresh rate, which would seem outdated. Because currently mid-range Android phones offer 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate displays.
The device will be powered by Apple's latest A18 Bionic chipset, coupled with 6GB/8GB LPDDR5 RAM. In addition, it will include an unspecified modem, which may be supplied by Apple or Qualcomm.
The tipster also said that the iPhone SE 4 model will include an aluminum side frame. This is in line with previous reports, which indicated that the phone will ditch the iconic home button and thick bezels of the older SE models. It will feature a similar design to the current iPhone lineup. There is also mention of Face ID, which will replace its predecessor Touch ID.
It will also finally have a USB-C port, which is an important change considering the current generation Lightning connector. Talking about the price, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be priced between $499 (roughly Rs. 41,745) and $549 (roughly Rs. 45,930). The phone is rumored to be launched between March and May next year.
