The glitch, which occurred on Friday, disrupted operations at airlines, banks, TV channels and other businesses. Its root cause was identified as a faulty update on CrowdStrike's Windows system.
Why did this problem arise?
The incident was caused by a faulty update to CrowdStrike's Falcon sensor. It is an IT solution designed to protect Windows systems.
