Shamli. The officials are working day and night to ensure the safe completion of the Kanwad Yatra, but negligence is still being seen at many places. In Shamli, vehicles are being parked on the road and washed, due to which the Kanwadis passing through the Yatra route have to face problems.

Kairana Road of Shamli is the main Kanwad route, from here lakhs of Kanwadias from Haryana, Rajasthan travel. Many vehicle washing centers have been opened on Kairana Road beyond Vijay Talkit, contrary to the norms, in which water is being exploited indiscriminately, apart from this, vehicles are washed by standing on the road, due to which disputes keep happening every day due to water splashing on people. Currently, Kanwad Yatra has started, but despite this, no guidelines have been issued for vehicle washing centers. Due to this, the work of washing vehicles on the road is going on, while due to this act of the washing center people, Kanwadias going on religious journey may also have to face problems, or the possibility of dispute due to water splashing cannot be ruled out.

In Shamli, ground water is being exploited indiscriminately at vehicle washing centres which are operating against the norms, due to which a major water crisis can deepen in future. Despite many blocks of the district being in the dark zone, the guidelines are not being followed by the officials to crack down on such centres.
