In Punjab, strict action will now be taken against minor children driving vehicles and this action will also be taken against the parents of minor children driving vehicles. In this way, now a punishment of 3 years and a fine of 25 thousand rupees will be imposed. Strict laws are being implemented from 31 July.

According to information, Punjab's ADGP (Traffic) has issued orders to SSPs and Police Commissioners of all districts in this regard. According to the order of ADGP, after July 31, if any minor i.e. a child below 18 years of age is caught driving a two-wheeler or a car, then strict action will be taken against his parents or the vehicle owner. Police commissioners and all SSPs have also been instructed to run awareness campaigns during the month of July. Action will be taken against the owner who gives a vehicle to any child below 18 years of age.
