Paris Olympics 2024 is starting from 26th July. This great sports event will be held till 11th August. India is sending a 117-member team to the Paris Olympics. India's richest sports body BCCI is also hoping the same. BCCI has given financial assistance in support of the players going for the Olympics. Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jai Shah wrote on his official X handle, 'I am proud of the athletes who are going to participate in the Paris Olympics. BCCI will help the athletes. We are giving an amount of Rs 8.5 crore to the Indian Olympic Association as assistance.' Shah has also congratulated the Indian team for bringing glory to the country.

This is a big initiative of BCCI and the financial assistance given to IOA is very important. This can be seen as an example of the work being done by BCCI in the development of sports other than cricket. Generally, the financial condition of the players participating in the Olympics is not good. After the help of BCCI, IOA will be able to provide better facilities to the athletes.
