Chandigarh, July 19 (IANS) Indian cricket team fast bowler Arshdeep Singh visited Chandigarh University (CU) on Friday. Arshdeep Singh is a player of India's T20 World Cup 2024 winning team and he performed brilliantly in the competition by taking 17 wickets.
Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep bowled in 8 matches at an average of 12.65. He got wickets for India at crucial moments and was the joint highest wicket-taker along with Fazalhaq Farooqi. Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi also took 17 wickets in 8 matches and his average was 9.41.
Arshdeep Singh visited Chandigarh University as a student, where he was given a grand welcome. Chandigarh University honoured Arshdeep Singh. According to Chandigarh University, Arshdeep is an inspiration for other students. He is a student who dreamt of turning his passion into a profession and made it a reality.
During this time, Arshdeep Singh's family members were also with him. Chandigarh University has also posted pictures of Arshdeep's visit on social media platforms. CU wrote in the post that, CU students were thrilled to meet their Indian cricket teammate. Arshdeep Singh was given a grand welcome, his performance in the T20 World Cup was appreciated. His achievements have inspired us and we are feeling very proud.
Arshdeep Singh has returned to Indian cricket for the Sri Lanka tour. He is part of both the T20 and ODI teams. India will start the three-match T20 series in Sri Lanka on 28 July. After this, the three-match ODI series will start in Colombo from August 2.
