New Delhi: A newly surfaced video of President Joe Biden has ignited a flurry of speculation on social media, depicting what appears to be the President leaning in to kiss a woman before First Lady Jill Biden intervenes. The White House has yet to comment on the incident, and it remains unclear when the video was recorded. President Biden, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, is currently self-isolating at his home in Delaware.
Biden's close call
In the video, President Biden is seen conversing with a blonde woman dressed in blue. As he leans in, seemingly to kiss her, Jill Biden steps in and guides the 81-year-old President away. Social media users quickly took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions.

“Joe Biden looks like he was about to kiss the wrong woman, and then Jill Biden came running to his rescue. This is going from bad to worse,” one user commented.
Another user added, “Joe Biden nearly kissed another woman, mistaking her for his wife. This man has the nuclear button at his fingertips.”
“Biden almost kissed the wrong woman before Jill stepped in and saved him. He's sharp as a tack,” tweeted a third person.
Timing and political pressure
The video emerged amid growing media reports suggesting that President Biden may consider stepping out of the 2024 presidential race. Sources indicate that the 81-year-old is under pressure from within his party, including influential figures like former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama.
While speculation surrounds Biden's political future, his key opponent, Donald Trump, accepted the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday in Milwaukee, positioning himself for a potential rematch in the 2024 election.
