New Delhi: The first general budget of Modi 3.0 (Union Budget 2024) has been presented. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented it in Parliament, this is her seventh consecutive budget as Finance Minister. Many announcements have been made for different sectors in the budget, but which thing has increased the burden on the common man's pocket and which announcement has given him relief. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a big announcement saying that cancer medicines will become cheaper. BCD on mobile and other devices including mobile chargers has been reduced by 15%. Apart from this, the government has reduced the custom duty on gold and silver to 6% and on platinum it will be made 6.5%. After this the prices of gold and silver will come down. The custom duty on platinum will be made 6.5%. Apart from this, custom duty on leather and footwear has been reduced. On the other hand telecom equipment has become expensive, the custom duty on them has been made 15%.
