In the US presidential election, President Joe Biden had announced to contest the election again on behalf of the Democratic Party, but due to increasing age, illness and then lagging behind in the debate with former President Donald Trump, there was a lot of pressure on him to withdraw from the election. Trump was seen gaining a rapid lead in the election. But now President Joe Biden has announced today on Sunday that he will not contest the presidential election for the second consecutive time. He has also supported the candidature of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Announcing his withdrawal from the election race, President Biden said in his statement, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country that I step down and focus solely on discharging my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

I had said yesterday that I will come to campaign
However, until yesterday, Biden continued to say that he was still in the presidential election race. President Joe Biden said on Saturday that he would contest the presidential election and would start his campaign again from next week, amid growing demand in the Democratic Party for him to drop out of the election race.
Biden has now withdrawn from the presidential race and has supported the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris. This decision of 81-year-old President Biden has come just 4 months before the US elections. Elections are to be held in America on November 5 where the new President will be elected.
My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And its been the best pic.twitter.com/x8DnvuImJV

Joe Biden is suffering from Corona
President Biden is currently ill and is infected with the corona virus. He was infected with the corona virus again a few days ago. He was in quarantine at his residence in Delaware since his infection was confirmed.
Two days ago, Biden's campaign team issued a statement, which said, “We are not the kind of Americans that Donald Trump represents with a dangerous vision for the future. As a party and as a country, we can and will defeat him in the election.”
A day before the President's statement, former President Donald Trump was formally declared the party's presidential candidate at the Republican National Convention held in Milwaukee, which he accepted. Biden claimed, “I am going to start the election campaign again next week. I am very excited because I want to warn people about the dangers of Donald Trump's Project-2025 agenda. Also, I can share my vision about America with the public.”
