New Delhi. There is pressure in the domestic stock market during the initial trading today. Today's trading started with setting a new record of all-time high. But soon after the market opened, profit booking started and both the stock market indices fell. However, buyers kept trying to increase their buying pressure. Despite this, the selling pressure was so high that the market situation could not improve. After the first hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a decline of 0.31 percent and Nifty with a decline of 0.48 percent. After the first hour of trading, among the stock market's big stocks, shares of Infosys, Britannia, ITC, LT Mindtree and Asian Paints were trading with strength ranging from 3.10 percent to 0.74 percent. On the other hand, shares of BPCL, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, ONGC and Eicher Motors were seen trading with weakness ranging from 2.95 percent to 2.01 percent. Till now, there was active trading in 2,226 stocks in the stock market. Out of these, 400 stocks were trading in the green zone by making profit, while 1,826 stocks were trading in the red zone by suffering loss. Similarly, out of 30 stocks included in Sensex, 7 stocks remained in the green zone with buying support. On the other hand, 23 stocks were trading in the red zone due to selling pressure. While out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 11 stocks were seen trading in the green zone and 39 stocks in the red zone.
The BSE Sensex today opened at a level of 81,585.06 points, jumping 241.60 points and setting a new record of strength. As soon as the trading started, it managed to reach an all-time high of 81,587.76 points with the support of buying. But soon after this, profit booking started in the market, due to which the index fell. Due to the continuous selling pressure, the index fell more than 500 points from the upper level and reached the level of 81,076.32 points in the red mark. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at a level of 81,092.90 points with a decline of 250.56 points.
Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty also started trading at 24,853.80 points today, setting a new record of strength with a gain of 52.95 points. As soon as the market opened, this index moved ahead and reached its highest level of 24,854.80 points till now. But after this, the selling pressure increased in the market, due to which this index fell. Due to continuous selling, this index lost all its gains in a short time and reached 24,678.40 points in the red mark. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 24,682.95 points, down 117.90 points. Earlier on the last trading day, Thursday, the Sensex closed at 81,343.46 points with a gain of 626.91 points or 0.78 percent. Nifty had ended Thursday's trading at 24,800.85 points with a gain of 187.85 points i.e. 0.76 percent.
