Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi's Mix Fold 4 will be launched this month. It will replace the Mix Fold 3 which was launched in China last year. This book-style foldable smartphone can be brought along with the company's first clamshell foldable smartphone Xiaomi Mix Flip.
Xiaomi said in a post on Chinese messaging platform Weibo that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will be manufactured at the company's smart factory in Changping, Beijing. The factory has a capacity to produce around 10 million smartphones annually. Recently, tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) leaked the design and specifications of the Mix Fold 4 in a post on social media platform X. It has a larger camera island than the company's previous smartphone. It has four Coca-Cola branded cameras and LED flash. The smartphone may have a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Leica Summilux lens. It may have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as a processor. Xiaomi's Mix Fold 3 had Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The MIX Fold 4 continues to push the boundaries of what's possible – it's thin at 9.47mm and weighs only 226g. Feels like a regular phone in your hand but packs flagship-level capabilities in camera, performance and battery. #XiaomiMIXFold4 pic.twitter.com/vwTTuDna2z

The tipster claims that the Mix Fold 4 may have a 5,000mAh battery with support for wireless charging. These designs and specifications are of the prototype of this smartphone and may undergo some changes. The company launched the Xiaomi 14 series earlier this year. Xiaomi is preparing to enter a price segment where it did not have a presence earlier. It is planning to launch a smartphone priced around Rs 50,000.
Recently, Xiaomi CMO Anuj Sharma, while talking to Gadgets 360, said that the new smartphone will reduce the gap between Redmi Note 13 Pro + 5G and Xiaomi 14. The 8GB + 256GB variant of Redmi Note 13 Pro + 5G is priced at Rs 30,999 and the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 34,999. Xiaomi 14 is priced at Rs 69,999. Select smartphone companies have introduced their models in this segment. However, OnePlus has a strong position in it. Xiaomi's online sales have increased in the last few years. The company plans to increase the share of retail stores in its sales.
