The discovery of a half-burnt body of a girl in Dumka district of Jharkhand created a sensation in the area. It seems that the girl was brutally murdered and then an attempt was made to burn her body. The most important thing is that the girl did not come from Jharkhand, but from Bihar.
Giving information about this murder incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ikud Dungdung told PTI that the girl was about 21 years old. Her body was found on Gumro hill in Masalia police station area. After identification, it was found that the girl was a resident of Banka district of Bihar.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ikud Dungdung further said that after investigation, prima facie it appears that the girl was murdered due to a love affair. However, a special team has reached the spot to investigate the matter. Forensic evidence is also being collected from the crime scene.
The police officer said that the half-burnt body of the girl has been sent for post-mortem after all formalities were completed. The DSP further said that the investigation of this case is going on. The police still have to find answers to many questions.
