Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget on Tuesday. No special announcements were made for Uttar Pradesh in it. Opposition parties have expressed disappointment with this budget of the Modi government. BSP supremo Mayawati said that no provision has been made in this budget for the betterment of the weaker sections. She has written on her social media account – 'The Union Budget presented in Parliament today, on its old pattern, is less about the hopes of 'achhe din' for the poor, unemployed, farmers, women, hardworking, deprived and neglected Bahujans of the country to get rid of their troubled lives except for a handful of rich and wealthy people, but more about disappointing them.'

Similarly, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has said that when there is so much unemployment in the country, what is the use of a 5 trillion dollar economy. He has written on X – 'This budget is also a bundle of hopelessness, thank God man is alive even in these conditions.' Talking to journalists outside the House, Akhilesh said – 'You take the example of UP. The projects that are going on are not getting completed on time. Now if the government has to be saved, special schemes have been given to states like Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. Are there any big decisions for the farmers of a state like UP in this budget given by the Prime Minister? Has any decision been taken for the production and price of the farmer's crop? What has the Modi government done to double the income of the farmer? How will they reduce the unemployment that has increased in the ten years of this government? These people give half-hearted jobs. They give jobs for one year or two years. The youth of the country wants a permanent job to make their future.'

'Modi government should give work to every hand like BSP government'
On the other hand, Mayawati made three posts one after the other on her X account. She has written- 'This new government also lacks the required reformist policy and intention towards the upliftment of the country's more than 125 crore weaker sections and the basic facilities required for them. Will such provisions in the budget make people's lives happy and prosperous? The country's development and the upliftment of the people should not be a maze of statistics, but everyone should collectively feel the basic progress like employment opportunities, money in pockets for spending, income to free the people from their troubled lives. Development of railways is also very important. The government should give work to everyone like the BSP government.'
