New Delhi. Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday termed the budget presented here as a bundle of hopelessness and said that this will greatly disappoint farmers and youth.
Yadav told reporters in the Parliament House complex that no provision has been made in the budget for minimum support price (MSP) for the products of horticulture farmers. There is no mention of Mandi construction in the budget. Not a single new Mandi has been built in Uttar Pradesh for the last several years. If there are no Mandis, then where will the farmers sell their products.
He said that GIFT City was built in Gujarat, but no provision was made for it in other states in this budget. If the announcement of building GIFT City in Uttar Pradesh or other states was made in the budget, then ample employment opportunities would have been created and the youth would have got relief.
Yadav said that giving half-hearted jobs to the youth will not do them any good. Creating Agniveers in every area will not solve the problem of employment. He said that this budget will not bring any change.
The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that no investment is coming to the state. No project has been announced for Uttar Pradesh in the budget.
