Saharanpur. BKU Tikait's national secretary Chaudhary Vinay Kumar said that today the condition of farmers in the country is very bad. On the call of the United Kisan Morcha, a protest will be held at the district headquarters on August 9.
In the monthly meeting held in the Collectorate premises, he said that the outstanding sugarcane price along with interest should be paid to the farmers soon. Farmers should be provided unconditional free electricity for private tube wells. District President Naresh Swami announced the immediate dissolution of the district executive, all block, tehsil and city executives except the youth unit. He said that a new executive will be formed soon with the advice of senior officials. After this, he submitted a memorandum to District Magistrate Manish Bansal.
In the memorandum, they demanded payment of interest and outstanding sugarcane price, calculation of electrical load on the spot, immediate compensation for the acquired land of Kalsi and surrounding villages, construction of an underpass in village Sadharansir on Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur via Deoband road, etc. During this, Chaudhary Raghuveer Singh, Kamlesh, Veer Singh, Lalit, Musa Pradhan, Adil, Praveen, Tahseen, Nem Singh, Nathiram, Sunny Panwar, etc. also expressed their views.
