Sawan 2024: The month of Sawan is starting from today, which is the favorite month of Lord Shiva. It is believed that in this month Mother Parvati got Lord Shiva as her husband by doing hard penance. The month of Sawan is considered very special for Shiva devotees. Sawan Puja Vidhi
After taking a bath, wear clean clothes. Worship all the gods and goddesses including the Shiva family. If you want to keep a fast, then take holy water, flowers and akshat in your hand and take a pledge to keep the fast. Light a lamp in the temple at home. Then perform the Abhishek of Lord Shiva in the Shiva temple or at home and worship the Shiva family properly. Now listen to the story of Sawan Monday fast. Then perform the Aarti of Lord Shiva with full devotion with a ghee lamp. Offer Bhog. Read Shiva Chalisa. Chant the mantra of Om Namah Shivaya. Also pray for forgiveness at the end.
