Ingredients to make Moong Dal Namkeen
Moong dal – 2 cups
Baking soda – 1 pinch
Salt – ½ tsp
Green chillies – 2 finely chopped
Lemon – ½ chopped
Chaat masala – ½ tsp
green coriander
Method of making Moong Dal Namkeen
– First of all, add 1 pinch of baking soda in 2 cups of moong dal and soak it in water for some time.
– After some time, drain out the water from the lentils and wash it thoroughly with water and spread it on a clean cloth for half an hour so that it dries slightly.
– After this, wipe the lentils with a clean cloth and keep them in a bowl.
– Now heat oil in a pan. Now put lentils in a big sieve and fry them in this oil and keep stirring it in between.
– When you feel that the lentils are fried well then press it with something to see if it has become crispy or not.
– After this, place paper on a plate and take out the lentils.
– When the whole lentil is fried, add some salt, chaat masala and mix it and after some time store it in an airtight container.
– If you want to make the namkeen a little spicy, then mix finely chopped chillies, green coriander and squeeze lemon juice in moong dal and take it out in a serving bowl.
