In a recent Instagram post, Nauman defended the extravagant wedding festivities and said the Ambanis were spending their own money so let them 'enjoy' it. He also advised those who were criticising the Ambani family to pray that one day they become rich enough to have such a wedding themselves. “One thing I can't understand is who are you to criticise Ambani's wedding,” he wrote along with a photo of himself laughing.

He said, “Happiness is theirs, marriage is theirs, money is theirs, enjoyment is theirs, we are sitting so far away and criticizing their happiness and money (far away)…. Why are you so worried? Nauman’s comments come days after Pakistani actor Arsalan Naseer joked about Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s lavish wedding and pre-wedding festivities that began in March.
