A road accident took place on the Delhi- Bareilly national highway in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. There was a massive collision between a UP Roadways bus and a Volvo. In this accident, three people including the bus driver died on the spot. 49 passengers were injured, out of which 9 are in critical condition. They were referred to the district hospital for treatment. It is being told that due to it being Monday of the month of Sawan, the traffic on the highway was made one-way. Due to this, two buses collided head-on near the Bhairav ​​Baba temple in Milak.

Police said that the Volvo was going from Haridwar to Shravasti while the roadways bus was going from Bareilly to Delhi. There was a massive head-on collision between the two buses. After the accident, the injured started screaming and crying. The injured of both the buses were brought to the government hospital of the city by the ambulance that arrived on information. The administration was in a panic due to the accident on the Kavad route. District Magistrate Joginder Singh and Superintendent of Police Rampur Vidyasagar Mishra reached the spot.

Three killed, 49 injured in road accident
DM Rampur Joginder Singh said that there has been an accident between UP Roadways and a private bus. About 49 people have been injured in this accident and three have died. All were admitted to CHC Milak. Out of which 9 were referred to the district hospital due to their critical condition. All are being treated.

Police registered a case and started investigation
In this accident, the roadways bus driver Kavinder (45), resident of Churr, Meerut, Ram Manohar, resident of Mirganj police station, district Bareilly, and Hariram and Jagdish, residents of Sujandih, district Shravasti, died. The police prepared the Panchnama of all the deceased and sent the bodies for postmortem. Apart from this, the DM said that the route was not diverted due to Kavad. The private bus was coming from the wrong side. The place where this accident happened is the point of trijunction.
