On Monday, the country's Supreme Court has taken a big decision in the violence case in Lakhimpur Kheri, UP. Ashish Mishra, son of former Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, accused in this case, has been granted bail. That means he will now come out of jail. The country's top court has also directed the trial court to conduct a speedy and fixed time hearing in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Let us tell you that in October 2021, violence broke out in Tikunia, Kheri, when farmers were protesting against the visit of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.

There were reports of 8 people dying in the violence that broke out during this protest. After this, Uttar Pradesh Police took action and registered an FIR. According to this FIR, four farmers were crushed by an SUV. Ashish Mishra, son of former Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, was sitting in the car in which the accident took place.

Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Ashish Mishra has been granted bail by the Supreme Court. Earlier in the month of January this year, Ashish Mishra was also granted interim bail by the country's Supreme Court.

During this time, the Supreme Court had also directed Ashish Mishra not to stay in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR. Along with this, Mishra was also asked to surrender his passport. Not only this, the apex court had said that if in any way it comes to light that witnesses were influenced by Ashish Mishra, then his bail will be canceled immediately.
