School Holidays 2024: In view of heavy rains, Nagpur, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have declared holiday in schools and pre-university colleges today, Saturday 20 July. In Wayanad too, all educational institutions in the district remained closed on Saturday. July 21 is Sunday, so now schools will open on Monday. In UP's Badaun district, apart from Saturday, holiday has been declared on Monday as well and now schools will open on Tuesday.
Schools closed on Monday in Badaun
Due to Kanwar Yatra in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, holiday has been declared in schools from Saturday to Monday. School students from class one to eight will get the benefit of this. On the instructions of DM, District Basic Education Officer Virendra Kumar Singh has given instructions to keep the schools from class one to eight running under the Basic Education Department closed. All council recognized, aided and primary and upper primary schools will remain closed every Saturday and Monday in the month of Shravan.
Apart from this, the administration of Varanasi district has decided to keep all schools closed on Mondays in the month of Sawan, instead the schools will open on Sundays. This decision has been taken due to the crowd at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham temple. Last year too, the Varanasi administration had decided to keep schools closed on Mondays.
