Bhagalpur. A tragic incident took place on the very first Monday of Saavan in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Where 11 children who had gone to bathe at Jahaj Ghat went into deep water while bathing and started drowning. With the help of local people, seven children were saved. While four children died due to drowning.
According to the information, the incident took place at Mathurapur Jahaj Ghat of Bhawanipur police station area under Narayanpur block. On Monday, on the first Monday of Sawan, 11 children of Navgachiya Naya Tola village went to Madhurapur Ganga Jahaj Ghat to take bath in the Ganga river. While bathing, they went into deep water and started drowning. When the people present there saw them, they jumped into the water to save them and seven children were saved. While four children Shivam Kumar (18) son of Digambar Sharma, Sonu Kumar (16) son of Dilip Gupta, Alok Kumar (18) son of Santosh Bhagat, Sanjeev Kumar (17) son of Arun Kumar Shah died.
All the deceased were residents of Naya Tola.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, Bhawanipur police station chief Inspector Mahesh Kumar, Circle Officer Vishal Agarwal, RO Bharat Kumar Jha, and many other officials reached the spot and started investigating the matter. With the help of divers, the bodies of three dead children were taken out of the river and handed over to the relatives. Till the time of writing the news, the search for one was still on. After this accident, there is mourning in the village and the relatives are in a bad state due to crying.
