Varanasi. CM Yogi, who arrived in Varanasi on a one-day visit, has given strict instructions to the officials for the convenience of the devotees. He said that the devotees coming to Kashi should not face any kind of problem. Along with cleanliness, lighting arrangements should be ensured in the entire city including the major Shiva temples.
CM Yogi was holding a meeting with officials and BJP officials at the Circuit House in Varanasi. Where he discussed the development works going on in Kashi. He also inspected the preparations for Sawan at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The CM said that proper traffic arrangements should be made along with security in Shivalayas and crowded areas. He directed the officials to take full promptness in resolving public problems and said that there should be transparency along with quality and timeliness in it. He laid special emphasis on providing the benefits of the public welfare schemes of the government to all eligible persons and said that no eligible beneficiary should be deprived of it. He also directed the officials of the implementing agency to complete the projects under construction with quality as per the standard by running a campaign on a war footing.
Get the stalled development work in Kashi completed soon: CM Yogi
While reviewing the progress of development projects, the Chief Minister directed to start the construction work of medical college in the district at the earliest. As the progress in construction work of 200 bed barrack in Ramnagar PAC is not satisfactory, he directed to speed up the work by fixing accountability of the concerned. He also directed to complete the pending works of rural drinking water scheme soon and said that there are complaints of roads not being repaired after laying pipes, hence, along with fixing the responsibility of the concerned contractors, repair of 100% roads where such cutting has been done should be ensured.
CM showed strictness on sewer overflow
Instructed the concerned to ensure the expected progress in the International Cricket Stadium under construction at Ganjari. During the meeting, along with getting the complaint regarding disruption in drinking water supply in Baragaon Bazar for the last two months due to the pump being out of order, he directed for immediate resolution and also to fix responsibility against the concerned. Giving strict instructions, he said that the sewer should not overflow anywhere in the city and if any complaint regarding this is received anywhere, then immediate solution should be ensured.
The CM showed strictness and said that the officers should work with full sensitivity. On the complaint of some employees of the Electricity Department not picking up the phone, he directed to identify such JE, AE, SDO and take strict action against them. He said that Varanasi, which is also the parliamentary constituency of the Prime Minister, has done development work worth about 40 thousand crores rupees till now under his guidance and various development projects worth about 12 thousand crores rupees are under construction. He said that while preparing the DPR of the projects, suggestions of local public representatives must be taken. He said that one nodal officer should be nominated for monitoring each project. Who will speed up the projects as well as ensure quality in them.
Municipal corporation should improve its image: CM
The Chief Minister, while stressing on timely disposal of pending cases of revenue related inheritance, measurement etc., said that quality disposal of complaints should be ensured. He also directed to keep the security system strong in view of women safety, traffic and tourism. Special emphasis was laid on the development authority and municipal corporation to improve their image by improving their work culture. Along with speeding up the approval of building maps, special emphasis was laid on simplification so that the common man can get convenience. The Chief Minister said that the officers should regularly sit in their offices and conduct public hearings and get them resolved on the basis of merit. The Chief Minister, while directing to keep all preparations in view of the possible flood, said that the flood affected people can be benefited immediately.
Adequate force should be deployed for the security of Kanwadis: Chief Minister
The Chief Minister directed the Electricity Department to ensure complete arrangements for electricity security in view of the Kanwar Yatra and devotees. In view of paddy transplantation, strict instructions were given to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity in the district along with adequate electricity supply to the farmers. In view of the Sawan Mela, he directed for deployment of adequate police force for the safety of Kanwariyas and devotees etc. While instructing the Irrigation Department Engineer to deliver water to the tail of the canals, he said that so that farmers can get water as per their requirement. In the meeting, while reviewing the progress of Ring Road Phase 2, widening and beautification of major roads, under-construction railway overbridges, buildings and other projects, the concerned were directed to bring the required speed.
In Sawan, devotees are being allowed to have darshan from a total of 6 gates: Divisional Commissioner
Earlier, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the Sawan Mela. During this, the Divisional Commissioner informed that this year, 4 new routes have been added along with a total of 6 gates in the temple for easy darshan of the devotees. He informed that arrangements have been made for zig-zag barricading, proper arrangements for cleanliness, security, CCTV, fire fighting, drinking water, toilets etc. to control the crowd.
Panchkoshi Parikrama route is in good condition: District Magistrate
The Chief Minister sought information from District Magistrate S. Rajlingam about other temples in Kashi and the administrative preparations made there during the month of Saavan. On this, the District Magistrate informed that the Public Works Department has repaired the potholes marked near the Markandeya Mahadev temple complex and parking arrangements have been made. The Chief Minister also directed to make proper arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, toilets and security in the temples falling on the Panchkoshi Parikrama route.
The Chief Minister directed the Municipal Commissioner to run a special cleanliness campaign at the Ghats and temples and to make the entire Kashi completely free from single-use plastic. The Panchayat department was directed for cleanliness outside the city. He was also directed to work on this by taking the help of the general public for proper arrangements for food and stay of the pilgrims coming in the month of Sawan. The Chief Minister directed the Chief Medical Officer to make proper arrangements of the health department for the pilgrims and the devotees visiting the temple premises.
The CM also directed to keep the team of doctors continuously active. He asked the Municipal Corporation and Development Authority to form teams and take strict measures to control unplanned development and said that proper arrangements should be made by taking suggestions from public representatives. In the meeting, Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal informed the Chief Minister about the various arrangements including the police force deployed for security, their deployment, traffic management, parking arrangements etc. During this, the Chief Minister asked for proper counseling of the security forces so that the devotees are treated well.
