Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar recently found himself entangled in a harrowing kidnapping ordeal that left him shaken.
The acclaimed screenwriter became the target of a honeytrap orchestrated by a woman named Aamna Arooj, leading to a series of distressing events.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s own account revealed that he had arranged to meet Aamna Arooj in the early hours of the morning, at around 4:00 am.
Little did he know that this encounter would take a dark turn.
According to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s statement, he was kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint by a group of men.
Now, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has stepped forward to address the incident, holding a press conference.
Donning dark shades, he revealed that due to his health condition, doctors have restricted him from travelling during daylight for the next five years.
As a result, he conducts his meetings with individuals when it is dark, hence the reason why he Arooj in the early hours of the morning.
During the press conference, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar bravely shared details of the torture he endured throughout the entire ordeal.
Meanwhile, Aamna Arooj, the woman responsible for luring him into this trap, has been apprehended.
According to police, Gujranwala-based Aamna Arooj specialises in trapping high-profile targets through deceptive calls and manipulated pictures.
She confessed to engaging in conversation with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and subsequently exchanging pictures with him.
It was this interaction that led to her invitation for him to visit her residence, where the unfortunate incident occurred.
Eleven other suspects have been arrested.
Amid the unfolding events, an old interview of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar resurfaced and went viral.
He had made a statement questioning the occurrence of women kidnapping men, emphasising that it is typically men who abduct women.
He said this in a derogatory manner, stressing his point that men and women cannot be equals.
The irony of the situation did not go unnoticed, as netizens shared the video.
It drew attention to the unexpected turn of events in Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s life.
