The month of Sawan has started and it will continue till 19th August. The Mondays falling in this month are considered very important. On this day, Lord Shiva is worshipped with full rituals.

Panchamrit items are related to the moon
Panchamrit is made up of white substances like milk, curd, sugar etc. which represent the moon. When the Shivling is bathed with the moon-dominant substances, the negative energy inside the person starts to vanish.
Also, the things used in Panchamrit emit auspicious energy. Rudrabhishek is considered to be of utmost importance in this month. On Sawan Monday, people perform the Abhishek of Lord Shiva with a true heart.
Importance of Abhishekam with Panchamrit
Panchamrit is made up of five things: milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar. To perform abhishek with Panchamrit, first offer water to Lord Shiva and then offer milk, curd, honey and sugar to him.
- After offering all the things on Shivling, mix milk, curd, ghee, sugar and honey and do a Shiv offering.
- During the puja, keep chanting the Panchakshar or Shadakshar Mantra of Lord Shiva.
- By bathing with Panchamrit, Lord Shiva fulfills all the desires of the person.
- By doing this, one gets the happiness of children and gets freedom from all problems.
