New Delhi. Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan has been in the headlines for his films as well as his personal life. He married not once but twice and then got divorced from both. In the year 2021, he surprised everyone by announcing divorce from his second wife Kiran Rao on social media.

Even though the couple has separated, they are still good friends. They support each other in every good and bad times. Now director Kiran has again given her statement on her divorce with Aamir, which has become a topic of discussion.

Kiran Rao is happy after divorce

After the divorce, Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan have talked openly about their relationship on many occasions. Now something similar has happened once again. Kiran has said in an interview to 'Faye D'Souza' that she is very happy about the divorce.

“I think relationships need to be redefined from time to time because we change as humans as we grow up. We need different things and I thought it (divorce) would make me happy and honestly, it has made me very happy.”

“Before Aamir, I was single for a very long time. I really enjoyed my independence. I was lonely, but now I have my son Azad, so I don't feel lonely. I think loneliness is the only thing that most people are a little worried about.

They were separated after 15 years of marriage

Kiran also admitted that ending their 15-year-long marriage was not easy for both of them. The Missing Ladies director revealed that it took the Bollywood actor “a while to get there emotionally and mentally.”
