Army Recruitment: Recruitment for the posts of Short Service Commission Medical Officer has been announced in the Indian Army. This recruitment notification has been released by the Armed Forces Medical Service (AFMS) on its website amcscentry.gov.in. According to this, 450 posts of civil doctors are vacant in AFMS. In which there are 338 posts for male doctors and 112 posts for female doctors.

Therefore the application process has started from 16th July. The last date to apply is 4th August 2024. You can also apply before this date. Civil doctors will be recruited in the Armed Forces Medical Services on the basis of interview only. Which will be held on 28th August 2024 at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. For this, the application has to be submitted on the website of AFMS.
Talking about the age limit for this recruitment, if you have only MBBS degree, then to become a medical officer in Armed Forces Medical Services, the age should be 30 years or less on 31 December 2024. Candidates should be born after 2 January 1995. If someone has done post graduation then the maximum age limit is 35 years. That is, birth should have happened after 2 January 1990.
Talking about educational qualification, candidates should have MBBS. or MD or its equivalent degree. Apart from this, registration with any State Medical Council / NMC / MCI is also required. For better information, you can see the notification issued by the department.
What will be the selection process?
Selection for the post of Medical Officer will be done through interview. For this, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in NEET PG entrance examination. Eight times more candidates than Assamese will be called for interview. Candidates appearing in this interview for the first time will also be given AC III / bus fare in railways.
