The correct date of Ashadh Purnima
According to Drik Panchang, this year the full moon date of Ashadh month will start on 20th July 2024 at 05:59 PM and will end on the next day i.e. 21st July at 03:46 PM. In Hinduism, fasts and festivals are celebrated on Udayatithi. Therefore, Ashadh Purnima will be celebrated on 21st July.
Remedies for Ashadh Purnima:
– On the day of Ashadh Purnima, offer raw milk mixed with sugar to the Peepal tree. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi resides in the Peepal tree on the day of Purnima. By doing this, the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi always remain on the devotee and wealth increases.
– On the day of Ashadh Purnima, worship Lakshmi-Narayan in a proper manner. Offer 11 yellow cowries to Goddess Lakshmi. Apply tilak of turmeric on it. After this, in the morning, tie these cowries in a red cloth and keep them in the safe. It is believed that with this remedy, the store of wealth and grains in the house always remains full.
– For happiness in married life, either the husband or the wife must offer water to Lord Chandra on the day of Ashadha Purnima.
