Renowned Pakistani showbiz industry host and actress Juggun Kazim has revealed that she was a victim of domestic violence by her former husband.

In a recent podcast, Juggun Kazim discussed domestic violence and recalled her bitter past, where she also faced such issues.

Juggun Kazim said, “I had my first marriage secretly from my parents. It was a love marriage of my choice, but in the third week of this marriage, my husband subjected me to violence.”

The actress stated, “The first signs of violence from a husband towards his wife are abusive language. It all starts with verbal abuse, and then there comes a time when the husband raises his hand against his wife.”

She added, “When a husband raises his hand for the first time, the woman should decide right then and there because once it happens, it never stops for the rest of her life.”

Juggun Kazim said, “The same thing happened in my first marriage. I was subjected to violence, but I endured it for a year and a half. I could have decided to separate at that time, but I didn’t because I was foolish.”

The actress said, “I used to think that I would face worse treatment all my life. When I was seven months pregnant, my former husband assaulted me, subjected me to violence, and threw me out of the house in torn clothes.”

She said, “May Allah bless those neighbors who covered me with a sheet and supported me during that difficult time.”

Juggun Kazim mentioned, “I cannot blame anyone for that violence because it was my own mistake that I chose such a person for myself.”

The actress added, “When the Noor Mukaddam case went viral, everyone on social media was talking about how they had experienced something similar, but I didn’t speak up because I didn’t want to go viral because of my past.”

She further said, “The past is gone. My son Hamza is now 18 years old. Alhamdulillah, Hamza was raised by Faisal (my second husband), and Faisal is Hamza’s father.”

It should be noted that Juggun Kazim’s first marriage ended in divorce. She has a son (Hamza) from her first marriage, and she married Faisal Naqvi in 2013.
