There has been an increase in militant attacks in Jammu and Kashmir over the past few days.
The recent attack in Doda, in particular, in which four army personnel were killed, has raised important questions for investigators.
The attackers used sophisticated weapons and their aim was perfect, indicating that they were highly trained.
Detectives guess:
Intelligence suspects Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) may be behind the attack.
According to them, the attackers are either retired members of the Pakistan Army (SSG), or are trained by the SSG.
There is some evidence to support this idea, including:
M4 carbines and Chinese steel core bullets used in the attack, which are not commonly used by militants.
Militants have skills and coordination, similar to trained soldiers.
Investigation underway:
Investigators are working to identify the attackers and uncover their network.
They demanded information about the attackers from the Pakistani government.
Steps taken by Government of India:
Security has been beefed up in Jammu and Kashmir.
More precautions are being taken in border areas.
The government has promised to take strict action against the militants.
Reasons for concern:
The increase in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir is alarming.
A possible connection with SSG is of even greater concern.
Both Indian and Pakistani governments need to take steps to bring this situation under control.
