Does this anger Lord Shiva? Know about it here.
Bel Patra is very dear to Lord Shiva
The famous astrologer of Kashi told that Bel Patra is very dear to Lord Shiva. It is mentioned in the scriptures. But there is no mention in the scriptures about the tradition of writing a name or a wish on the Bel Patra and offering it. He told that only the name of Lord Shri Ram can be written on the Bel Patra and it can be offered on the Shivling. There is no rule of writing perfume or any other name or wish on the Bel Patra and offering it to Lord Shiva, you can become a part of sin by doing this.
Mention in the scriptures – In the scriptures, Belpatra is considered a symbol of purity and sanctity. It is considered appropriate to offer it in its pure form on the Shivling. Writing a name on Belpatra or changing it into any other form is against the scriptures.
Natural purity – It is important to maintain the natural purity of the Belpatra. Writing a name on it or doing any other kind of tampering can break its purity. Which is not appropriate.
Faith and trust – Faith and trust play an important role in the worship of Lord Shiva. Belpatra offered with simplicity and purity is liked by Lord Shiva. No extra pomp or special efforts are required.
